Back again!

Well I finally found time to update again and I know someone is actually out there which is weird......*waves* hi guys!
Have just got back from training and that was one helluva work out! of the two Sensei's we have on a Thursday it's always harder work when the shorter Dave takes the session (get this...they're both called Dave, there's tall Dave and Short Dave) the first half is usually more like a cardio work out with a few techniques thrown in but the second half gets much more technical. Tonight I was sparring initially with Kelly (yes there's even someone else with my name) who's 15 and nearly 3ft taller than me so it's lots of fun throwing her around. After the first technique we swapped partners though and I was sparring with a lad who usually comes on a Thursday but I've never actually sparred with before but it was hilarious tonight. The problem tall people have with me is I have a very strong grip and don't let go easily even when I'm being taken to the floor so I usually end up taking them with me *snigger*, a lower sence of gravity helps too. My wrists are so flexible that I can actually scratch my own arm with my fingers and I never fall quite how I'm supposed to which causes them all sorts of problems (in a good way). I did get accused jokingly of being vicious though; what can I say........I got bullied as a kid so I fight back before anyone starts *shrug* Every time I did the technique he ended up on the floor in an arm lock or with me holding him down but every time he did it I ended up in a position I could get out of or counter whatever he did. Frustrating for him but funny for me and I don't even know how I do it it's just instinct which I suppose is a good thing.

Over the May day week end, waaaaayy back I went to Bristol to stay with Ruthie for the weekend and had a great time. Hi Mel! We've decided that we're gonna really save up and got to the Vancouver con next year in July (Timeless Destinations I think) so I'm on a mega mega save now. Since I went there a couple of years ago I've not been able to get the place out of my head it's just an amazing city. I was terrified during the flight but I can still remember looking out of the window as we flew over the Rockies at 2pm with bright blue sky and sunshine. I really can't describe what that was like properly but it's something that's going to be with me for a very long time. If you ever get the chance to go or if you get the money and think 'I want to do something really memorable with this' take your one chance and go to that amazing place it's so worth it!

Oh well that's all for now, feel free to get in touch.

Sithee soon
